My Life & Time Management
I am working on my time management.
And I’m beginning to realize that the college mentality of procrastinating is still with me to this day (i.e. cramming the night before a final, or waiting to write a 15 page essay the night before it’s due). So I picked up a book that deals with the problem of procrastination and here are a few things I’ve learned about myself and why I do what I do:
1. Procrastination creates a sense of pressure that some people enjoy when completing a task. And for those who do well under pressure it become habit.
2. Procrastination can be related to the fear of failure. I have realized that I’m the type of person who, if they were to give their full 100% effort into a task or project, would fear that anything less than perfect would reflect on me and my overall ability. By procrastinating, a person who doesn’t give 100% can always use that as an excuse as to why they didn’t do as well on any given project.
I am breaking this habit.
Yes, I still have work to do in some areas but it does feel great to be proactive and to get things done on time without any pressure.
I’m Engaged!
Wow…What a wonderful weekend Mariya and I had – this last Sunday especially.
Mariya and I are now officially engaged. Apparently people were eagerly waiting for me to finally pop the question lol Anyway, I just can’t describe accurately just how much I truly do love this person named Mariya Tsymbalist. She is truly a Godsend and blessing in my life. I’ve wanted to ask her to marry me for some time now, but it had to be the perfect time for the both of us. I didn’t want her to expect it at all so that she would be fully surprised.
I think she was VERY surprised.
I love you Mariya with all that I can possibly love you with. No matter what comes are way I will stand the test of time with you and wait out any storms that rain on our parade of life
I could go on and on about the millions of emotions I feel about you, but we’ll have our entire lifetime together for me to accomplish that.
I love you Mariya and can’t wait to start our lives together.
The Mission: Souls
Hello everyone, my name is Jesse Scott and this is my first blog…Ever.
What is the purpose of our lives? What is the meaning behind why we were all created? What does God want from me?!?
The answer: To win as many souls from the gates of death and despair…To give out as many life preservers to as many souls as possible while on this sinking ship of a world.
“…Go and make disciples of all nations…”
These are words that have echoed throughout eternity – and will continue to do so until “it is finished.”
The first thing we need to remember is that this world is not a place to call home. You will live here briefly, die and move on. This world is your testing grounds…This world is your shot…This world is your time to decide who you will serve for eternity. And not only your time, but everyone’s time. This world is bound for ultimate failure and despair…Yet most people want to be apart of it as much as possible(?). I don’t get it. People spend their whole lives becoming embedded into the framework of this world that they are soon numb to anything that is outside of it…They live by the world’s rules and its toleration of immoral lifestyles.
The world in itself is a creation…But it in itself is not responsible for the downfall of this world.
So who is behind all of this trickery, pollution, illusion and evil?
He is the Prince of Lies and the Deceiver. He is misery and shame; pain and sorrow; bitterness and heartache; depression and fear. His name is Satan – he is the king of this world.
He has infiltrated every possible system in some shape or form. The world has terminal cancer and it is Satan himself. Those who want to subject themselves to this world become his servants. They are injecting themselves daily with lethal doses of Satan and his propaganda; they put Satan into their DVD and CD players; they allow Satan to entertain them on the internet and in the bars and strip clubs; they allow Satan to teach them at school; they allow Satan to be the head of their families. They have become infected.
The cure? Jesue Christ! He is the One who will wash away all the cancer of evil. He is the medicine that will heal our sorrows, addictions, fears and our sins.
He came. He lived. He died. He rose again. He lives. He is God the Son. He vaccinated this entire universe with his forgiveness of our sins and lifestyles. God had to enter His very own creation to save it…To save us. What a sacrifice. From the time this world was created it started to sink. Jesus is the One and Only lifeboat with a seat for every single breathing human with eyes to see and ears to hear.
We owe Him nothing for our sins…He took ALL the punishment…He paid our debt to Satan. For when we allowed Satan into our lives, we signed a contract with our hearts to serve him. Jesus came and voided everything and anything that would cause our souls to go into foreclosure…Anything that would cause us to go straight to hell.
Our purpose on this earth as Christians is to reach those people who are still blinded by Satan’s false promises of a fulfilling life – a promise that will only lead to everlasting death. We have been commissioned to give as many people the vaccination (the Truth of God, of Jesus Christ) that will save their souls. Do not fill your lives with meaningless things that serve no heavenly and eternal purposes. Enjoy the blessings of God and the things of this lifetime, but do not, and I repeat DO NOT allow them to take you over, for that isthe exaclt moment when Satan wins the battle.
The war has already been won. All we need to do is outlast the remaining forces of Satan that are scrambling this earth frantically to take down anyone with them.
Seek God. Talk to God. Ask God. Walk with God daily.
He will never turn you away.
